Advanced Tamil Medium Papers - Prepare Your Child For Tamil Medium Paper Tests

Advanced Tamil Medium Papers - Prepare Your Child For Tamil Medium Paper TestsAt some point, your children will have to take Tamil medium and/or English medium and/or Math medium examinations, so that they can qualify for the State Board exams for five grade levels in Tamil. You may feel overwhelmed with the idea of giving them so many different subjects to teach and therefore end up rushing the English and Math papers. They may also have issues with Hindi and Joshi textbooks. Now, you don't need to worry about this at all. Most of the computer software designed to prepare children for these tests today are able to learn the language fluently even when not used in a course. Even the curriculum that is used at the primary level doesn't hold anything against you as far as the school works go, so it is well within your rights to add the Tamil papers into the English or Math courses. If you are worried about time management, then find out if the school is certified by the Board of Calcutta High Schools, the Association of Independent Schools of India, the West Bengal Higher Secondary Education Commission, or the West Bengal Science Education Commission. These certifications are much needed to make sure that the school is well equipped and organized to prepare the students properly. The time you spend on each subject is very important and that is something that can be spent on other things.A lot of students are afraid of taking paper exams because they think that there won't be much help from the school if they fail to show up for the exam. They don't know that the exams are a lot more difficult than the subjects themselves and that they may fail if they don't study properly and get the answer right. This is the common belief that most parents have of their kids. It makes a big difference from the bottom up as far as where the child goes. Students who show up for the test are a lot more likely to do well than those who don't show up.Many of the tests that are being adm inistered in Tamil medium and English medium also test vocabulary and spelling skills. And this is a really important factor to consider because these subjects require a lot of memorization. Hence, if the student is not confident in the math test papers, then the paper exam will turn out to be useless for them. There are tests available that actually test how well you can remember the entire material and scores that are given are based on the time you spend on the material. If you are really concerned about time management, then I strongly suggest that you look into the program of the school and see if they are familiar with the Calcutta school and have received the certification from the TCL. They may not be familiar with all the test papers, but they will be knowledgeable about the curriculum and prepare you for the time tested.

Analysis Of Christopher Doob s The First Edition Of...

Soc 330 Christopher Doob wrote the first edition of Social Inequality and Social stratification in US Society. The author structures this book in the direction towards a theoretical concept that attracts the reality of social inequality and stratification as a whole. Doob dissects this books into eleven chapters given that each chapter examines the inequality of stratification. Also during the readings of this book Doob used plenty of data to show the socioeconomic strata revolved around the history of America. In relation to this book the assigned four readings in class â€Å"Class A guide through the American Status System, Class†¦show more content†¦These characteristics are class indicators that subconsciously defines us as people. In addition, to the first book review our second review analyzed the lives of people class distinctions. In Class Matters as stated in my initial review the book focuses on the negative and positive factors of people’s lives. During a section of the book just to recap the experiences of three people of different social classes experiencing heart attacks. The first guy that had a heart attack was of the upper middle class. This man had the luxury of giving multiple options of attending the best hospital and care for his health. In chapter five heading the Hierarchy: Upper Class or Superclass? The conclusion states, â€Å"Best positioned within the class structure to obtain high-quality financial capital and also social capital†¦Ã¢â‚¬ (Doob, 142). The first guy with the heart attack has a better advantage because of all of the necessities and benefits he has to offer. The second person with the heart attack was of the middle class. This man was issued with fewer options, but still a good hospital he had the same surgery, but with no additional information as the first person. In chapter six it discusses how some middle class people have difficulty financially. The expenses of health insurance have become much greater for middle class American’s. Doob states, â€Å"The harsh reality involving healthcare is that left on their own, many middle-class people can afford only very limited or no

Educational Research Single Su Essay Example For Students

Educational Research Single Su Essay Educational Research Single-Subject Critique Establishing Discriminative Control of Responding Using Functional and Alternative Reinforcers During Functional Communication Training Wayne W. Fisher, David E. Kuhn, and Rachel H. Thompson Appropriateness of research question or purpose: The purpose of this research was interesting and of value as it focused on problems that often occur when Functional Communication Training (FCT) is in use. This study sought to find effective solutions as desired . . .responses may be weakened and destructive behaviors may reemerge . . . when reinforcements of communication are delayed or denied due to impossibility or inconvenience of the caregiver or instructors ability to provide said reinforcement in a timely manner. . . .procedures are needed to increase the effectiveness of FCT in situations in which it is impractical or impossible to deliver a given reinforcer. Research design and design rationale: This study was broken up into 4 phases (the fourth phase . . .was completed with only 1 participant in only one condition because of time limitations on the participants hospital admission.) Phase 1: Functional Analyses and Descriptive Assessments. Alternating treatment with no baseline design. During this analysis, a test condition . . .and a control condition were compared using a multi-element design. Phase 2: Communication and Discrimination Training. Phase 3: Treatment Evaluation of FCT with Discriminative Stimuli. Between series, alternating treatment (ABAB) design was used to compare FCT + EXT vs. ACT + EXT in two conditions for one participant (Amy) and in one condition for one participant (Ned). Phase 4: Independent Effects of FCT and EXT. Between series, alternating treatment and a final treatment design was used to compare FCT/ACT (w/o EXT) vs. EXT alone with the final series being strictly FCT/ACT (w/o EXT). The order of presentation for Amys discrimination training were . . . stimulus-present and stimulus-absent periods that were alternated every 30 s for the duration of the 10-min session. For Ned, . . .one SD at a time was presented for 1 min. The order of the first three SD presentations in a given session was randomized, without replacement; thereafter, the order remained constant. Phase 1 was conducted to test the hypotheses generated by the results of. . .descriptive assessments. . . to determine whether . . .destructive behavior was multiply maintained by both attention and access to tangible items, but under specific stimulus conditions for Amy. . . and whether destructive behavior was maintained by . . .attention for Ned, therefore this specific phase of the test did not require a baseline. Once these results were established, and training had incurred, the rationale for design for Phases 3 and 4 were to show contrast between the various interventions. Overall study limitations: This study covered its bases well and the only limitation I can rightly see is one that is prone to single-subject research, that is, the use of only two participants. It would have strengthened this study further too if the researchers had been able to complete the final Phase 4 on both of the participants. .

Aaron Feuerstein Essays - Business, Economy, Professional Studies

Aaron Feuerstein In this paper I will discuss Aaron Feuerstein, the third-generation president and CEO of Malden Mills Industries, Inc., who leads the Lawrence, Massachusetts business with his fathers and grandfathers values: kindness, justice and charity. He does this through his charismatic leadership and vision, which binds his employees together into realizing and achieving the same goal. I will show exactly what makes him a leader in the modern business setting and explain why a leaders vision is important in defining a true innovator, effective manager and charismatic leader. Feuerstein and Malden Mills had a history of taking care of its employees. Workers salaries average $12.50 an hour compared with the textile industrys average of $9.50. And in the 1950s, when other New England textile manufacturers fled to the South for cheaper labor, Malden Mills stayed. Although Feuersteins hands-on management style has always been admired by his employees, what set him apart as a true leader was a near disaster in the winter of 1996. While celebrating his 70th birthday, Feuerstein received word that his 130 year old family owned textile company in Lawrence, Massachusetts was burning to the ground. Three of its manufacturing factories that produce the popular high-end outdoor apparel knits, Polartec? and Polarfleece?, were reduced to charred metal and brick. While watching the fire, Feuerstein decided that he must come up with a plan to not only save his company from financial ruin, but decide the fate of over 3,100 employees that would soon be without a job. He ch ose to rebuild the plant in Lawrence. He also decided that if he was to continue providing a quality product to consumers, he would have to take care of the skilled laborers who made the product. Feuerstein kept more than 1,000 jobless employees at full pay and medical benefits for three months until the factories were up and running again. What kept Feuersteins company at the top was his strong managing skills. A top management position requires motivation to achieve, but this motivation may be directed to achieving personal, rather than organization goals. Feuerstein believed the role to top management should be to manage and the most important resource they must manage is the people that work at all levels of an organization. Their role should not be to rule, but to lead. Feuerstein also understood that employees form the foundation of any organization, and that all of them have unique strengths that can help in achieving the companies goals. In return, employees will feel useful and are placed in a position to self-actualize or attain one's potential. When Feuerstein was asked what sets him apart from other CEO's, he responded: The fundamental difference is that I consider our workers an asset. Not an expense. I have a responsibility to the worker, both blue-collar and white-collar, I have an equal responsibility to the community. It would have been unconscionable to put 3000 people on the streets and deliver a deathblow to the cities of Lawrence and Methuen. Maybe on paper our company is worthless to Wall Street, but I can tell you it's worth more. We're doing fine. Other CEOs feel I'm sort of a stupid guy who doesn't know what to do with his excess money, he says. The quality of Polartec is what I'm selling. By treating the people the way I'd want them to treat me, they make that quality. When you do the right thing, you'l1 probably end up more profitable than if you did wrong. Feuerstein did not throw his money away. It was a well reasoned and sound leadership decision to invest millions in Malden Mills most critical asset, its workers. The contrast between this Feuerstein and the currently celebrated CEOs making 30, 60 or 100 million dollars a year by eliminating jobs and moving plants is simply astounding. How much are you willing to wager that every company that closed a plant in recent years to boost stock prices has a vision statement with words like we value and respect our employees as our most important asset? How many of the laid off employees do you suppose believe that? Perhaps the most important characteristic that transformational leaders possess is their ability to create a vision that binds

Averse vs. Adverse

Averse vs. Adverse Averse vs. Adverse Averse vs. Adverse By Sharon It is easy to confuse adverse and averse but their meanings are totally different. Adverse means unfavorable, contrary or hostile, and can never be applied to humans. You often hear it used in the term adverse weather conditions, a phrase which is best avoided in favor of bad weather. Averse means unwilling or disinclined or loath and is always followed by the preposition to. It applies to a person and is used like this: He was averse to discussing the conference. Of course, it would be just as easy to say. He didnt want to discuss the conference. Overuse of both averse and adverse is likely to sound pompous. Its always better to keep it simple. The adjective aversion is much more common. Here are some quotations from the press to help you see those words being used it in context: But in fact, adolescents may be more risk-averse than adults, a new study has found. Their willingness to engage in risky behavior may have less to do with thrill-seeking per se than with a higher tolerance for uncertain consequences, researchers reported Monday. LA Times Many merger agreements contain provisions allowing buyers to withdraw from deals if the value of a transaction has been hurt by a significant development. In the case of the Verizon/Yahoo deal, such a change is defined as one that would â€Å"reasonably be expected to have a material adverse effect on the business, assets, properties, results of operation or financial condition of the Business, taken as a whole.† WSJ Want to improve your English in five minutes a day? Religious Tolerance and Hindu Rituals Assignment

Religious Tolerance and Hindu Rituals - Assignment Example This is often not the road that is taken and misconceptions are often allowed to turn people against certain religions and beliefs. Ignorance regarding religions is most often the reason for people’s antagonistic attitudes in relation to people of other faiths. This paper shall look at a religious ceremony of Hinduism and reassess a few ideas about the religion that were proven to be misconceptions after it. Religions like Hinduism are often considered to be similar to or even perceived as variations of Satanism. This is the result of various misconceptions that arise out of religious intolerance in people of other religions (Robinson, 2006). People of other religions tend to think of Hinduism as a religion where idols are worshipped in a very simple manner. This is however, not true. According to the ceremony that I attended, which was to worship the Goddess Durga, an idol is what the Goddess reveals herself as to the devotee. The goddess assumes the form that the true devote e wishes to see her in and this becomes a symbol of the love that God holds for the true devotee. The importance of this can be seen in the care and devotion with which the statue of Durga is made before the festival of Durga Puja begins (Durga Puja Preparation, n.d.). Apart from the philosophical and theological reasons that are offered for this form of worship, it also allows the devotees to converge at a particular spot. It enables people to understand the fact that Hinduism is not a religion but a culture that is a part of a society of people. It is not a compendium of rules regarding conduct and worship. This is evident from the fact that there is no single text that is considered to be the most important one. No person is considered to have laid the foundations of this religion either (Das, n.d.). All of these factors combine to transform Hinduism into a culture of a society rather than a conventional religion. The worship of idols and the use of music are factors that cause p eople to conceptualize of Hinduism as a religion that is a mystic one that is similar to orientalist conceptions that Western Civilization holds about the Indian subcontinent. This is however, not true. The music and the idol, apart from being symbols of social togetherness and a shared culture, also enable people to concentrate their minds on the idea of god. This can be done through an immersion into the atmosphere that is created by the combination of the different aspects of the festival. The ritual turns the festival into an opportunity for people to connect with god. A large part of Indian music is non-secular and this results in the fact that it is a part of the Durga Puja. Investing all of one’s attention in the idol of Durga enables the devotee to dissolve his existence into a union with the Goddess. The idol thus serves the practical purpose of giving the devotee an object to focus his or her attention on (Jayaram, n.d.). My understanding of Hinduism was radically a ltered after the ceremony as many of the common misconceptions concerning the religion were proven to be false following it. The deep philosophical tenets and the practical side of the religion were exposed during the ceremony and this led to a change in the perceptions regarding the religion and its practices. The social aspect of the religion also changed my perception regarding it as it enabled me to place it in a context where it is a part of everyday life. Misconceptions regarding

Company Research -JP Morgan Chase Bank Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Company -JP Morgan Chase Bank - Research Paper Example Since its foundation in the year 1799, the company has excelled in every field as a financial establishment. It was established on the foundation of more than 1200 antecedent organizations. The amalgamation of these organizations has led to the formation of today’s JP Morgan Chase & Co. However the real formation occurred in the year 2000 when JP Morgan & Co. and The Chase Manhattan Corp were merged as a single company. This merger brought together four largest banking organizations i.e. JP Morgan, Chemical, Chase and Manufacturers Hanover under the umbrella of JP Morgan Chase & CO (JP Morgan Chase, â€Å"History of Our Firm†). Aaron Burr & J. Pierpont Morgan is the two persons behind the foundation of JP Morgan Chase & Co. The company over the years has seen unprecedented growth in its stature and structure. It has grown immensely in terms of its assets which now stand at $2 trillion and still increasing. All this has not been achieved overnight but with business principles based on sheer dedication, hard work, creating a friendly working environment and last but not the least the innovation factor. Along with success the company has also had its share of hiccups. It faced a major setback when it was accused for being involved in manipulation of mortgage papers related to insolvent cases and had to be bailed out after the recession of 2008. Despite this JP Morgan has been rated as one of the most desired company to work with apart from being the best in terms of job satisfaction for the employees and has a long list of accomplishments. JP Morgan Chase & Co. has reached the pinnacle of financial services not only in the native USA but across the globe.
